H&M Rejected My Shoe Return Even Though I Only Tried Them On at Home
I purchased a pair of shoes from the H&M online store, and the order was delivered to me on June 1. After trying the shoes on at home, I realized that the size was not suitable for me. Because of this, I initiated a return and shipped the item back on June 4.
The shoes were never worn outside. I only tried them on indoors for sizing purposes. All original tags remained attached, and the shoe box was returned in its original condition without any damage. The product was carefully packaged and sent back in compliance with the return conditions.
On June 10, I received a call from the shipping company informing me that I had a package waiting for pickup at the local branch. When I went to collect it, I learned that H&M had rejected my return request and sent the shoes back to me. I was also informed that a note had been placed on the package stating that the shoes had been “worn.”
I strongly disagree with this assessment. The shoes were never used outside the home, were only tried on briefly indoors, and were returned with all tags attached and the original packaging intact. Under these circumstances, classifying the product as worn and refusing the return is unreasonable.
My order number is 77379210041.
I request that H&M re-evaluate my return and accept it in accordance with the stated return policy. Since the shoes were only tried on for fit and were not used, I believe the return conditions were fully met. I also request that the refund for the purchase be processed as soon as possible and credited back to my original payment method.
I would appreciate a prompt review of this matter and a fair resolution based on the actual condition of the returned product.
So unfortunately my package has been returned again; the invoice and my notes are attached. If it comes back again, I will file a complaint with the Consumer Court. Shopping at H&M ever again? Never!
