On November 28, 2024, I purchased an anthracite-colored jacket with the label “Thermo” from H&M’s online store. Even though I wore the jacket no more than five times, noticeable color fading appeared in multiple areas. I never washed the jacket or subjected it to any special treatment; I only wore it normally. Experiencing such obvious color loss after such limited use is, in my opinion, a serious manufacturing and dye defect.
After noticing the issue, I first contacted H&M by phone. I was told to send the jacket as an “inspection item” along with the required form. As instructed, I sent the product to the company multiple times via shipping. However, each time the jacket was returned to me with a note stating “used product,” without any documentation or a detailed inspection report. The issue appeared immediately after I started wearing the jacket; treating it as if it were worn out from long-term, normal use is not acceptable.
I consider it a serious inconvenience that a jacket costing over $70 became faded and unusable in such a short time and that no solution was provided during the inspection process. I am requesting that the product be properly and technically inspected, that the defect be acknowledged, and that I be assisted through a return, replacement, or a refund.
