I booked flexible tickets through Gotogate for an international vacation, expecting to make changes if needed—that’s why I paid extra in the first place. Now that I actually need to change my travel dates, I’m being hit with "airline fees" that are even higher than the original ticket prices.
I paid over ₺82,000 for these tickets, and I find it outrageous that rescheduling costs nearly the same again, despite having purchased a flexible ticket package. The whole point of paying extra for flexible tickets is to avoid these kinds of surprise costs.
Even if a fee must be charged, it should be a reasonable service fee—not an amount equal to or exceeding the cost of a whole new ticket. Ironically, when I tried checking prices for a completely new booking, those were lower than what they’re now asking from me just to change dates.
This feels like a complete trap. We feel deceived and financially exploited. Gotogate, you need to honor the terms of your flexible ticket policy and charge us fairly. I expect this situation to be resolved immediately, and for my request to be handled without further financial burden.
