I purchased tickets through Gotogate for myself, my wife, and my daughter for an Istanbul–Tokyo flight with Air China (with a connection in China). The China–Tokyo connecting segment was canceled by Air China. I arranged all my hotel reservations, vacation leave, and related payments according to these travel dates. I contacted the intermediary company, Gotogate, but they were not helpful in any way. They shifted the responsibility directly to the airline.
They told me that there is no representative in Turkey and that I would need to speak with an overseas representative in a foreign language. Since I do not speak English, I was unable to communicate. My son, who speaks English, tried to speak with them but was unable to get a resolution. My cousins, who are traveling with us, purchased the same flight through a different agency. That company provided them with an alternative connecting flight without forcing them or demanding additional payment. However, Gotogate has not done the same. Instead, the overseas representative demanded additional payment to offer another connecting flight.
Dear Sir or Madam, please resolve my grievance. Otherwise, I will be forced to initiate legal action. When acting as an intermediary and collecting payment, everything worked smoothly — but when it comes to resolving the issue, there is no support. Gotogate has been a major disappointment.
