Gotogate and Air China Canceled My Flight After I Paid $1,130
On November 14, I purchased a round-trip ticket through Gotogate for an Air China flight from Istanbul to Tokyo with a connection in China. My reservation/order number is 1094-950-211. I initially scheduled my departure for December 24 and my return for January 6, and I paid $780 for the ticket. Due to a personal situation, I had to postpone my trip to June 24 – July 4, and I paid an additional $350 change fee for the rescheduling.
Today, I received an email informing me that my flight had been canceled by the airline without my knowledge or consent. As a result of this cancellation, both my outbound and return flights have effectively become unusable. The cancellation was made entirely at the airline’s discretion, and I did not request any cancellation or further change.
I request a full refund of all payments I made — including the $780 ticket price and the $350 rescheduling fee — for both my outbound and return flights, without any penalties or deductions. Otherwise, I will exercise my legal rights and pursue the matter through the appropriate authorities.
