Google Play Says “Parental Controls Restrict This Item” on a Parent Account

For about a month, I haven’t been able to properly use my own account because of an issue with the Google Family Link app. Even though my account is a parent account, when I try to download an app from the Google Play Store, I get the message, “Parental controls restrict downloading this item,” and the download won’t go through.

Even though my account is set up as a parent, getting blocked like I’m a child account makes the app unusable for its intended purpose. I use Family Link to supervise my child, but right now I can see that my own account is being restricted unfairly. I haven’t made any changes to my Google account or Family Link settings during this time.

I am requesting that Google investigate in detail why my parent account is being blocked by parental controls, fix this issue, and restore my account so I can use it normally as a parent account without restrictions.
