Goodyear Authorized Dealer Refused to Honor Quoted Tire Price After Confirming Stock

On February 21, 2026, my vehicle’s tire was blown out after hitting a foreign object on the Avcılar Highway. Because the tire was a Goodyear brand, I specifically contacted Ceka Goodyear Auto Tire, which was identified as an authorized dealer. I provided complete information about my vehicle’s make, model, and tire size and requested confirmation of stock availability. I was clearly told, “We can supply it, you can bring the vehicle in,” and I was quoted a price of $333. I explicitly confirmed that I accepted this price.

Trusting your brand’s corporate reputation and reliability, I had my vehicle towed approximately 6 miles to the dealer. I had to wait outside the shop in cold weather with my young daughter. However, after the vehicle arrived, a person who identified himself as the branch manager stated, “There’s a system error. Headquarters in Ankara is sending two units, and we cannot sell a single tire,” effectively backing out of the sale.

Failing to check stock before the vehicle was brought in, and confirming over the phone that the product was available only to say “we can’t sell it” once the customer arrives, is not consistent with professional or corporate business practices. This situation caused both financial loss and significant wasted time. The towing fee, travel expenses, stress, and being stranded with my young child greatly increased my hardship.

Additionally, although I showed that the same tire was being sold in the $246–$261 price range based on my market research, I was not given any reasonable or satisfactory explanation regarding the pricing difference.

Despite the clear hardship I experienced, even my request to have a temporary used tire installed at my own expense was refused with the statement, “If you don’t buy a tire from us, we will not assist you.” The approach of a business that carries the title of “authorized dealer,” fails to stand behind its word, and offers no solution to a customer stranded with a small child clearly contradicts your brand’s corporate reputation.

I request that a formal investigation be initiated regarding Ceka Goodyear dealer, that I be provided with a written and detailed explanation of the process, and that my financial and emotional damages be reviewed, with appropriate compensation measures communicated to me.
