Global Blue Reverses Tax Refund After Proper Airport Processing
After shopping in the Netherlands on January 18, I completed a tax-free refund process through Global Blue, and the tax refund was credited to my credit card within about a week. On January 28 at Nuremberg Airport, I completed all my tax-free procedures properly, had my form approved, and placed the documents in an envelope and dropped them into the designated box as instructed by the airport staff. Even though I followed all procedures correctly, the tax-free refund amount of approximately $12 that had been credited to my card was later withdrawn again from my account. I did not receive any notification explaining why the refund was reversed, and I have been inconvenienced as a result. Despite calling Global Blue’s customer service center, I was unable to reach anyone or obtain any information about my issue. I do not accept the cancellation of my refund since I completed all required steps accurately and on time. I request that the withdrawn tax-free amount be fully re-credited to my card and that I be provided with a written explanation regarding this matter. The transactions were made under the name Deniz C*****.
