I purchased the Garnier Vitamin C face wash, trusting that it was safe and made with clean ingredients. However, after using it just a few times, I developed severe redness, burning, itching, and inflamed acne on my face, which led to an allergic reaction and infection. My previously clear and smooth skin has been seriously damaged. I had never had acne even during my teenage years, but now my face is completely ruined.
Because I couldn’t get an appointment with a dermatologist in Istanbul, I had to travel to İzmir for treatment. I visited five different dermatologists, who prescribed various creams and lotions, but none of them helped. It has now been eight months, and instead of improving, my skin has gotten worse and appears to have permanent damage.
This situation has left me emotionally and financially devastated. Every doctor I visit prescribes expensive medical creams and cleansers, and I buy whatever is recommended — hoping for a cure — but nothing works. My mental health has suffered, my social life is destroyed, and I can no longer sleep or look at myself in the mirror.
I have never experienced anything like this before. I cannot understand how such a chemical-heavy product is allowed to be sold. I demand that necessary action be taken and that my grievance be fully addressed, including compensation for the harm caused.
