I Got Charged for Portual and FitMe Apps I Never Subscribed to on My Phone Bill

85

Two apps—Portual and FitMe—were installed on my phone without my knowledge or consent. I only became aware of them after noticing an unexpected spike in my monthly phone bill. When I tried to cancel these subscriptions by sending the provided cancellation texts, the messages wouldn’t go through.

I followed the step-by-step instructions shared online to cancel the subscriptions, and I eventually managed to deactivate both. However, I was still billed for these unauthorized services. It’s unacceptable that apps I never willingly subscribed to can silently charge me through my mobile carrier. I learned that others have faced the same issue and that complaints can be filed with the Cyber Crimes Unit through the police.

I’m demanding a full refund for the unauthorized charges added to my phone bill. I also want these services blocked permanently from accessing my account. Mobile operators and service providers must take more responsibility in preventing these silent and predatory subscriptions. Please take immediate action to resolve this issue.
