Fitbit Versa 2 Screen Failure & No Repair Support After Warranty Expires

My Fitbit Versa 2, bought last year, is experiencing a problem with the screen. The display is a vibrant shade of green and is currently unresponsive. Based on Bilkom's suggestion, I reached out to Providyo, an authorized service center, for repair and support. Unfortunately, I was told that spare parts for devices older than two years are not available, so they cannot repair it.
Basically, the implication is that once your Fitbit warranty runs out, your device becomes worthless. I must say, I am quite let down by this, especially given the steep price of these watches. It appears that it would be more beneficial for you to invest a little more and purchase from a brand that provides superior customer support.
