FedEx Express Wrongfully Collected Customs Duties From Me Despite Proforma Invoices

Dear FedEx Express, I hereby submit a formal objection regarding the wrongful collection of customs duties on my recent shipments to Saudi Arabia. At the end of May, I was invoiced and charged approximately ₺60,000 in customs duties, which I paid by credit card. However, according to the proforma invoices in my possession, it is clearly stated that the responsibility for customs duties rests with the consignee. Despite this, the full amount was unjustly collected from me. Following this, I filed a written objection by e-mail and duly provided all supporting documentation, including the relevant proforma invoices. Despite my compliance, no resolution was provided for an extended period, and today I was informed that my complaint has been closed without any remedy. I must stress that I have been a FedEx Express customer for 2.5 years and have never encountered such an issue until now. Accordingly, I hereby demand that: My proforma invoices be duly taken into account, The amount of approximately ₺60,000 in customs duties, wrongfully collected from me, be refunded without delay, FedEx provide a clear written explanation regarding this incident. Should this matter remain unresolved, I will have no choice but to pursue legal remedies and file a claim with the Consumer Court to protect my rights.
