Deceptive Practices by Europcar

I chose Europcar because they offer pick-up and drop-off services when you rent a car. But when we got there, they sent us to an office outside of the pickup area without telling us ahead of time. Even worse, they asked me to set a reminder to be at the office early the next morning for the return. It was almost like talking to an automated answering service. Should people expect this kind of service? They are basically giving me their jobs to do while they are on vacation. I'm very upset about what happened, and I want to know why from the company. The mistakes and lack of professionalism on their website are not my problem; it is their job to address my concerns.
