I Didn’t Get the Car I Reserved from Europcar Munich and Still Haven’t Received My Refund

Hello, on May 2, 2025, I made a car reservation in Munich, Germany through Europcar. I specifically booked a Volkswagen and paid the full amount with my credit card. The confirmation stated the vehicle would be ready at 5:00 PM. However, when I arrived at the Europcar office at the specified time, I was told that the car I reserved was not available.
Instead, they offered me an electric vehicle, which I clearly said I did not want. I declined the alternative and requested a refund on the spot. I was told the refund would be processed within 3 business days. It has now been 9 days, and I still have not received my money back.
I followed up by calling customer service, where I was told to send an email. I sent the email as instructed, but no one has responded. Europcar’s lack of follow-through and complete disregard for customer satisfaction is extremely disappointing. I simply want the refund for a service I never received. I urge Europcar to correct this immediately and return the amount paid. Otherwise, I will not hesitate to take further action.
