I Rented a Passat from Enterprise Sarajevo but Got a Faulty Skoda That Left Me Stranded

I rented a Volkswagen Passat from Enterprise’s Sarajevo branch, but was told they could only provide a Skoda Octavia automatic as an equivalent. I agreed, even though this was my first time traveling abroad, and I informed them I would be driving to multiple countries.
Once I reached Montenegro, the car began malfunctioning. A warning popped up saying:
"Gear lever faulty. Vehicle can still be driven. Please visit service."
The car wouldn’t shift gears properly and would only work when it felt like it. I have videos and photos proving this. I spent each day waiting for the transmission to respond. It was also clear the vehicle was overdue for scheduled maintenance—why was this given to a customer in the first place?
On the day I was supposed to return the car, I struggled from 9 AM to 11 AM to get it moving. Since it wouldn't shift into gear, I had no choice but to call a taxi to the airport and leave the car behind. I couldn’t even refuel due to the issue, and now they’ve charged me for the missing fuel—even though it was their mechanical failure. Worse, it looks like they charged me ₺5,350 without warning, and being based in Sarajevo, I’ve had no luck reaching them. Their phone line goes nowhere, and when I finally reached someone, they were completely unhelpful.
