Skoda Octavia 2021 Gear Lever Failure at 16,000 km

56

I own a 2021 Skoda Octavia 1.0 e-tec, which I have diligently serviced at authorized centers since it hit the road on 03.01.2022. At only 16,856 km, the vehicle displayed a "gear lever is operable, service required" error on 26.09.2024. I took it to the Gaziantep Döşman Skoda service center, and a day later, they diagnosed a gear lever malfunction, requesting ₺15,000 for the repair. They offered a so-called "goodwill" discount of 70%, but even with that, it's unacceptable for such a low-mileage car to have a chronic issue like this. After researching, I found that this is a common problem, and Skoda is tarnishing its reputation by making customers pay for it. I am requesting a full refund for the repair costs. Skoda must take responsibility for this issue.
