On October 17, 2021, I purchased an Electrolux LNT7ME46W2 model 510-liter no-frost refrigerator with a bottom freezer. The first breakdown occurred on September 25, 2023, just months before the warranty expired. During the late summer heat, we had to discard more than half of our food and beg neighbors to store the rest.
The authorized service arrived within 3-5 days, replaced the faulty inverter card free of charge, and the fridge resumed working. However, on June 15, 2024, just 9 months after the repair, it broke down again.
Due to out-of-town travel plans, we once again had to throw away most of our food and plead with neighbors to store our frozen items. Upon our return, we contacted Electrolux for service. On July 8, 2024, the same technician diagnosed another inverter card failure. He informed us that the part was unavailable, estimating a 7-10 day wait if it's in Turkey, or up to 1.5 months if it needs to be ordered from abroad. They charged a service fee without performing any repairs.
After persistent follow-ups (about 8 phone calls), we were told the part isn't available in Turkey and would take 1.5 months to arrive from overseas. This replacement will be at our expense.
We're now without a refrigerator in mid-summer due to a product that has had two inverter failures in three years, with no readily available replacement parts. When we asked how to manage without a fridge for 1.5 months, we were told there's nothing they can do.
It's worth noting that we use this refrigerator in our home in Beşiktaş, not in a village, summer house, or remote location. In short, Electrolux has produced a consistently failing refrigerator with no available spare parts.
