I Paid ₺3,074 for eDreams Tickets Worth ₺2,000 and Got Charged an Extra ₺10,000
I mistakenly believed I was booking through Pegasus Airlines, but it turned out to be eDreams, and I booked round-trip tickets from Istanbul to Izmir for April 16 (morning departure, evening return). The tickets should have cost around ₺2,000, but I was shocked to find ₺3,074.94 charged to my credit card.
After completing the booking, I received a message stating that reservation ID 22275599383 would be confirmed within 24 hours. Later, an email from eDreams said the original ticket cost was €25.44, but now they claimed the price had jumped to €314.71 and demanded an additional €289.27 (over ₺10,000) to confirm the booking.
This is absurd. No one would pay that much extra for domestic flights worth a fraction of the amount. Naturally, I refused to pay the extra charge, lost trust in the company, and had to go buy new tickets myself on the same day.
What’s worse is that eDreams is completely unreachable—no valid phone number, no address, and even replying to their email bounced back. I’ve since found out they operate out of Spain, but I can’t find any local customer support or way to resolve this.
I feel scammed. I demand full cancellation of these tickets and a full refund. How can a company with no address, phone number, or support be allowed to operate in Turkey? I am seriously considering legal action. This is unacceptable.
