Car Rental Scam at eDreams and Terrible Customer Service
I can't believe such a misleading company operates in airports. I'll be emailing all airports through my attorney so they won't let this company in. I'm already giving zero stars to every review site I can find. When they deduct money from your credit card, the statement says ""Rent Car Rise"" with exclamation marks, which is misleading. Anyway, let me share my complaint. We were supposed to pick up a car in Bodrum booked through the eDreams site. My wife had made the reservation, and they charged €200.06 to the credit card.
When we landed in Bodrum on August 1st to pick up the car, they claimed they couldn't release it because they couldn't charge the deposit on the credit card. They handed us a reservation cancellation paper, citing system errors and credit card restrictions. We called the credit card company, and they confirmed there was no issue. We contacted eDreams customer service, informing them they hadn't provided the rental car. We asked them to cancel the reservation, but they claimed it couldn't be done. We spent an hour on the phone, and as a last resort, we had to call the hotel's shuttle service. Dealing with such a hassle with two kids was incredibly exhausting. Chasing our own money for 200 euros is a tiresome endeavor. There should be consequences for this, and we'll pursue our rights through legal means.
