EDreams Misled Me on Car Rental Terms, Refused Cancellation
I rented a car through EDreams from a company called Dreams for November 28 to December 1 in Ankara, Turkey. I made a prepaid payment of $168. However, during the payment or reservation process, there was no clear information stating that I would be required to provide a credit card with a 750-euro deposit and an additional 1,500-euro available balance at the time of pickup.
These conditions were only communicated to me afterward, in an email sent once the reservation was already completed. When I tried to cancel the reservation because I did not agree to these extra requirements, I was told that cancellations are free only up to 48 hours before the rental, and that since only 47 hours were left, my cancellation request was rejected and the entire $168 I paid would be kept. In other words, a critical condition was not disclosed upfront, and an extremely strict, consumer-unfriendly cancellation policy was applied.
My reservation number is TR883849290, and I have proof in the form of email correspondence and screenshots. I request that the $168 I paid be refunded to me in full without any unjust cancellation charge, and that this issue be resolved.
