Economy Car Rentals Charged Me Twice for the Same Rental
I booked a rental car in Tirana, Albania through EconomyCarRentals.com. During the booking process, I was instructed to pay approximately one-third of the rental cost in advance, with the remaining €113 to be paid directly to the local rental company. After making the advance payment, I received a voucher confirming my reservation.
When I arrived at Surprice Rent A Car at Tirana International Airport, I was told that my reservation existed, but the company completely ignored the advance payment I had already made to Economy Car Rentals. Instead, they charged me the full €208 again.
Because I was in a hurry, I paid the full amount, assuming I would be able to recover the advance payment from Economy Car Rentals later. After returning home, I tried to contact the company, but I discovered that it was virtually impossible. The "Contact Us" section on the website does not work, there is no customer service phone number, and I have been unable to reach anyone.
I strongly recommend that customers avoid booking through Economy Car Rentals until this issue is addressed. I am requesting a refund of the approximately €60 advance payment that was effectively charged twice.
