On August 18, 2024, at Istanbul Airport, I arrived early at the check-in counter for my EasyJet flight to Bristol at 22:00. Despite being on time, the baggage drop process was extremely slow. I had already been waiting in line for about 30 minutes, and each passenger or family was taking 10–15 minutes to be processed.
To make matters worse, there was only one staff member handling the check-in, and no other EasyJet representatives were available to assist. With many passengers still waiting, this inefficiency put us at serious risk of missing our flight.
This is not the first time I have experienced such a problem with EasyJet at Istanbul Airport. During the winter, I faced the same issue with my 5-year-old son and had to run to the gate under stressful conditions. It is well known that additional security checks are required for UK flights, yet the airline still fails to provide sufficient staff or proper preparation.
As passengers paying high ticket prices, we should not be subjected to such unnecessary stress and fatigue. I am requesting that additional counters be opened, staff allocated appropriately, and this issue resolved so that travelers are not repeatedly inconvenienced in this way.
