A rude Flight Attendant on EasyJet Airlines Stopped Us From Boarding
Hello, we have been traveling to Turkey for 25 years. For the first time this summer, we tried flying with EasyJet, and it will be the first and last time. On the morning of August 30th, we were supposed to fly from Budapest, Hungary with a layover in Istanbul, Turkey. We passed through all passport control points, and just before boarding the plane, they insisted on checking our tickets and caused an issue with our carry-on bags. My spouse and I each had an 8-kilogram carry-on bag, and the attendant demanded payment for one of them. We asked if it wasn't free to carry them onboard, as it is with all other airlines. She replied, 'You've angered me, now you'll pay for two instead of one.' We retorted, 'Our payment depends on your psychological state.' She aggressively told us to leave and fly with another airline if we were going to argue. 'Go, I don't have time to deal with you,' she said. We pleaded, apologized if we upset her, took out our bank card, and offered to pay whatever she wanted to let us through. We told her our flight would depart without us, but she refused to listen. It was a nightmare for me; we had to turn back. We wandered around the airport for 30 minutes trying to find the exit; I was literally in tears. We left; our home is far away, in France. We were supposed to board from Geneva, but at the last minute, we had to buy tickets again. We paid a thousand euros to Pegasus and only got a one-way ticket. Our vacation started with zero morale. It's the first and last time; I won't buy a ticket from this company, even if it's free.
