I’m Experiencing Trigger Malfunction on My Dyson V10 After Only 2 Months of Use

I purchased a Dyson V10 vacuum just two months ago, and I’m already facing a serious issue with the trigger. While the vacuum works fine on the first speed setting, it shuts off unexpectedly on the second speed—even though I am holding the trigger continuously. It’s incredibly frustrating to have this type of malfunction so early into ownership, especially from a premium product that’s marketed for reliability and performance.

Previously, I used a Philips vacuum for years without any problems. I switched to Dyson expecting an upgrade, but this experience has been disappointing. If the vacuum is already malfunctioning after two months, I can’t imagine what kinds of issues I might face down the line.

I demand a full replacement of my device with a brand-new, sealed Dyson V10 unit, not a refurbished one. I paid for a quality product and deserve to receive one that functions properly. Dyson needs to take full responsibility for this defect and resolve it immediately.

I have been experiencing a problem with the trigger part of my Dyson V12 vacuum cleaner since July 2025. When I press the trigger, it either doesn’t work or gets stuck intermittently. Because of this, a part replacement was made in July and a new trigger part was sent to me by cargo. However, even though it worked properly for a while, the problem recurs every time I use the device, especially in the second stage.

Although my device is under warranty, the continuation of the same problem and the fact that a temporary solution is offered each time by calling the service or replacing the part puts me at a disadvantage. I regularly cleaned and dried the filters, and followed all the steps in the user manual, but the problem was not resolved.

I am very upset to experience such a chronic issue with a product for which I paid such a high price. I request a permanent solution and a replacement of the device. I am not satisfied with the quality of service, please resolve my grievance.

"Congratulations to Dyson. They called me on Friday and asked what the problem was, and I explained it. After a short video call, they said the faulty parts needed to be replaced. And today, I received a brand new device. It’s excellent that they replaced it under warranty without charging a single penny. From now on, I will not shop from any company other than Dyson. Other companies should take this as an example; I have never seen this kind of behavior from any other company. They were very polite during our conversation. They took everything into consideration. I would like to thank the Dyson Turkey team."
