Dyson Gen5 Peeling Butterfly Part Causing Air Leakage
I purchased my Dyson Gen5 vacuum cleaner from Dyson’s official website in 2024. Within about a year, peeling began on the butterfly (papatya) section of the device. I sent the product to service once, but it was returned without any replacement or repair. Since then, the peeling has worsened, and the device has started leaking air during use.
Today, I called customer service twice. They told me that this part was “only cosmetic” and did not affect performance. However, I clearly notice that the performance of my vacuum is being negatively impacted. My product is still under warranty, and no payment has been requested from me, yet service did not even take the device back for inspection. This response is unacceptable for a premium-priced product.
I use the device in Balıkesir Erdek, and the problem occurs every time I operate it. I request the replacement of my Dyson Gen5 under warranty, as the defect is worsening and now directly affects usability. I expect Dyson to recognize this as more than a cosmetic issue and to resolve my complaint with a full product replacement.
