Dyson Airwrap Attachment Peeling and Sticking to Hair Despite Warranty
On 14/02/2025, I purchased a Dyson Airwrap hair styler from the Dyson store inside 41 AVM. For about six months, it worked without issue. However, just a week ago, the blow-dry smoothing brush attachment began peeling and flaking on its own. During styling, the peeling parts heated up, melted, and stuck to my hair, leaving residue on my scalp.
I reported this issue to Dyson customer service multiple times, but each time I was told the damage was “user-related” and not covered under warranty. They stated that since the product’s performance was unaffected, this type of problem does not qualify for support. I explained clearly that I used the product correctly and that the peeling was caused by the device’s own heat, but I kept receiving the same dismissive response.
My Airwrap is still under warranty, and my customer number is 08505321144. The problem repeats itself with every use, leaving me both dissatisfied and inconvenienced. I request that Dyson replace the faulty attachment or the entire product under warranty. A brand of Dyson’s reputation should stand behind its products and provide better support when defects clearly affect customer experience.
