I purchased a Duracell battery because it was marketed as a reliable and safe premium product. The expiration date on it clearly states 01/2032, so it was well within its expected usage period. Despite that, the battery suddenly exploded while inside my remote control. Thankfully, no one was holding the remote when it happened—but the device is now completely ruined.
This could have been much worse. Imagine if a child had been playing with that remote! I paid extra for Duracell thinking I was getting quality and peace of mind, but instead I’m left with damaged property and serious concerns about safety.
I’ve attached a photo of the damaged battery and remote. Duracell must take responsibility for this incident. I demand immediate compensation for the destroyed remote and assurance that proper quality control is in place to prevent such dangerous malfunctions in the future. Safety should never be compromised, especially by a brand that claims to be the most trusted in batteries.
