Duolingo Subscription Scam: Overcharged for Annual Plan
I find myself in an unfortunate situation with Duolingo, where what seemed like a simple subscription process turned into a financial ordeal. Upon agreeing to the super trial, I was shocked to see that they not only displayed the monthly fee but charged the entire annual amount upfront, a whopping 500 TL instead of the expected 54 TL monthly. This unexpected charge has created a significant financial burden for me, and I am urgently seeking assistance to rectify the situation. Despite my attempts to cancel the subscription, I have faced hurdles in the process. Duolingo's customer service has been unresponsive, making it nearly impossible to resolve this issue promptly. I want to make it clear that I did not consent to or expect a yearly charge, and I am seeking a cancellation and refund for the erroneous transaction. As a customer, transparency and fair billing practices are essential, and this experience with Duolingo has left me deeply dissatisfied.
