Deichmann Sold Me Shoes That Fell Apart After One Wear and Refused a Refund
The men's and children's shoes I bought from Deichmann came apart at the glue seams after just one wear. One detached from the sole, and the other from the printed design. Although I requested a replacement, no new shoes were provided—instead, they were sent in for inspection. During this period, I was left without shoes and received no refund, meaning I couldn’t buy new ones either. The store staff were extremely unhelpful. As a journalist, I rarely encounter such negative experiences, but it is unacceptable for a German-origin company known for its quality and customer-oriented approach to treat its customers this way. Inspecting shoes that are clearly worn only once and fell apart within three days is absurd. A visible defect like this should be resolved immediately without wasting the customer’s time. Think twice before shopping—I regret buying from this company. I was left disappointed and out of pocket. Of course, I filed a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
I only thank the customer representative. I have nothing to say to the company that sells defective goods for the money paid in their stores, or to the cashier and store manager who don't know how to treat customers.
