Fraudulent Avast Charges Bypass Bank Security Controls on Yapı Kredi Credit Card

Two unauthorized charges were processed from my Yapı Kredi Bank credit card by a company named Avast without my knowledge or consent. On July 28, 2026, during the early morning hours and again later that same day, transactions appearing as "Avast *Avap" were executed on my card, neither of which was approved by me. According to my card statement and digital transaction slips, these deductions were for 619.05 TRY and 620.40 TRY, respectively.

As soon as I noticed the situation, I submitted a suspicious transaction report to Yapı Kredi Bank and blocked my card for security reasons. Nevertheless, I received no satisfactory explanation as to how these unauthorized deductions occurred or why they were not blocked by security systems. Furthermore, no transaction details were provided to me in advance, nor do I hold any active subscription or membership authorization.

I demand from Avast and Yapı Kredi Bank the full cancellation of these unauthorized transactions, a complete refund of all deducted amounts to my account, and a written explanation regarding these charges. Additionally, I request that necessary security measures be implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future.
