I purchased a 2024 Chery Omoda 5 Luxury package in February. Not long after, the key fob stopped working properly. The vehicle no longer recognizes the key—it won’t unlock automatically, and even when I press the buttons, nothing happens. I’ve had to resort to removing the inconveniently placed manual key just to get inside the car.
I took the car to the service center, and although they changed a few parts related to the issue, the problem was never resolved. Now, they won’t even answer my calls or return messages. This level of service is completely unacceptable.
According to Turkish Consumer Protection Law (Article 11 of Law No. 6502), if the same issue occurs repeatedly under warranty, the consumer is entitled to request a full refund or replacement. The law clearly protects my right to demand the return of the defective product or a working replacement.
I am asking Chery to take this seriously and have the authorized service center coordinate with the manufacturer to resolve this issue. If the vehicle is indeed defective—and all signs point to that being the case—it must be replaced under warranty. I will not accept excuses. I demand that my consumer rights be upheld and that Chery either fix this issue for good or replace the car entirely.
