Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Engine Failure - Warranty Denied Due To Service Misguidance
I am the owner of a 2023 model Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Excellent with license plate 34 GRS 0** and chassis number LVTDB21B8PD170471. I am reporting a serious engine failure and the incorrect and incomplete guidance I received from Chery authorized services Atmo and Tan Oto, which caused my vehicle to be considered out of warranty and a very high repair cost to be reflected to me. On 21.03.2024, at 5,056 km, I took my vehicle to Istanbul Atmo Authorized Service for the 5,000 km control maintenance. I was not informed that the 1st year periodic maintenance had to be performed and this maintenance was not done. When purchasing the vehicle, I was only informed about mileage-based maintenance; I was not told that annual maintenance was mandatory. On 24.09.2025, at 21,426 km, I again went to Istanbul Atmo Authorized Service and, without any warning about missing annual or interim maintenance, the 30,000 km periodic maintenance was directly performed. No indication was given that there was a lack of maintenance that could affect the warranty. About one week before the breakdown, I applied to Tan Oto Authorized Service because of abnormal noises from the engine compartment and was given an appointment for 22.12.2025. Although the complaint concerned the engine, I was not warned to stop using the vehicle, leave it at service, or urgently apply to another service. I had to continue using the vehicle and on 21.12.2025 it broke down on the road with engine failure. My vehicle is currently at the authorized service and I have been told it is out of warranty and that the repair, estimated at ₺400,000–600,000, will not be covered. This malfunction is not user-induced; it is a serious engine failure that grew due to incomplete maintenance information and lack of proper guidance, and it has also put my safety at risk. I request that my vehicle not be excluded from warranty coverage, that all repair procedures related to the engine failure be covered under warranty, and that, if necessary, my vehicle replacement request be evaluated.

Hello Chery representative, the only answer you gave me was that my car is out of warranty due to a maintenance delay. I am telling you that the reason my car ended up like this is that, despite me contacting the authorized Chery Tanoto Ümraniye service on December 16, 2025 because of a noise coming from the engine, they did not intervene with my vehicle and gave me a date of December 22, 2025. As a result, I was stranded on the road on December 21, 2025, and consequently incurred engine repair costs in the range of 500–600 thousand. You could not answer me on the phone; I am asking your service what should have been done on the date I applied. I did not bring my car in for routine maintenance; I brought it because there was a noise from the engine. You did not intervene in time, now you say it is out of warranty and the cost is this much. Dear Chery officials, if this car were yours, what would you do?
