I purchased a 2024 model Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max brand new from a Chery dealership in December 2024. Just a few months later, in May 2025, I discovered a noticeable issue with the sunroof seal: the sunroof’s rubber gasket had separated by about 4–5 cm, and when I opened or closed the sunroof, the seal visibly got caught and pinched in the mechanism.
I immediately took the vehicle to the authorized Chery service center in Kahramanmaraş, only to be told that the issue was due to external factors and would therefore not be covered under warranty. This explanation is completely unacceptable for a vehicle that is only 4–5 months old and has been handled with care. There has been no misuse or external damage on my part.
I feel completely let down by the response and expect better accountability from a global automotive brand. A seal coming loose on a brand-new car is clearly a manufacturing or quality issue, not a user fault. I demand that Chery cover this repair under warranty and resolve this issue promptly. I also request a clear explanation and written confirmation once the problem is fixed.
