In April 2024, I purchased my Chery Tiggo 7 Avangarde package brand new from the Istanbul Ace Auto dealership. Since the day I bought the vehicle, the CarPlay connection has not worked properly. At first, CarPlay would connect only once every three drives, and most of the time it would not connect unless I turned the vehicle off and restarted it. Currently, CarPlay does not connect at all on new-generation iPhones.
When I visited the authorized service center regarding this issue, they tested the system using older iPhone models, and since the connection worked with those devices, they claimed there was no issue with the vehicle and performed no corrective action. However, the fact that CarPlay does not connect at all with modern iPhones, which are commonly used in daily life, creates a serious usability problem for me. In addition, I am also experiencing poor FM radio reception, and I cannot switch between favorite radio stations using the steering wheel controls.
I have learned that software updates for this vehicle have been released globally in other countries, but that these updates have not been provided to Türkiye. For my vehicle with license plate 01 AUN 654, I request that Chery headquarters deliver the necessary software updates to Türkiye and that my CarPlay and radio issues be permanently resolved.
