We purchased a Chery Tiggo 7 Pro in March 2024, and we’ve been dealing with persistent Android Auto/CarPlay freezing issues ever since. While using navigation or listening to music, the system suddenly locks up, makes static noises like an old radio, then crashes and tries to reboot — but fails. It also doesn’t connect to my iPhone reliably, leaving me stranded without navigation.
It’s become so unreliable that I’ve had to go back to using my phone mounted on the dashboard, just like in the old days. I’ve even missed turns and almost gotten into accidents because the navigation froze mid-drive.
When we took the car in for routine service in February/March 2025, we told the dealership about the issue. They said the DVD unit (as written in their paperwork) would be fully replaced — and they did replace it. But the very next day, the exact same problem returned. So now we’re back to square one.
This is deeply frustrating. I bought a brand-new car to have peace of mind on the road, not to constantly worry if the infotainment system will fail again. We plan to call again and explain the issue, but at this point, it feels like even replacement parts aren’t solving anything. Chery, please take ownership of this issue and provide a permanent fix. This isn’t what I expected from a modern vehicle.
