Chery Engine Chain Broke at 20,000 km – No Real Support from the Brand

Chery has been a huge disappointment. In just one year and at only 20,000 km, the engine chain on my vehicle snapped, leaving me stranded in the middle of the road.

Despite this being a major defect, Chery refuses to take responsibility. Instead of properly addressing the issue, they tried to compensate me with a new engine and a free maintenance package—but I no longer trust this car and want to sell it. However, because of this issue, the resale value has dropped significantly.

I strongly believe this is a manufacturing defect, and I am now preparing to take legal action. From this point forward, I will share my experience everywhere to warn others about Chery’s lack of accountability.
