Two Year Old Chery Engine Chain Broke, Waiting One Month for Solution

Our Chery car is only 2 years old and has always been fully serviced by authorized service, yet just 20 days after the 30,000 km service the engine timing chain broke. This is clearly unacceptable for such a new vehicle and raises serious concerns about the quality and reliability of the brand. While driving, all functions suddenly stopped, creating a serious life-threatening risk, and despite this we have been waiting for over a month with no solution. We expected the company to take responsibility immediately, but instead we have been left without proper support or assurance.

After writing our complaint to several places, we finally received a response. They had said that if our request for replacement with a similar item was rejected, they would offer a trade-in, but we still haven't heard any solution regarding the trade-in. In today's meeting, only 1,400,000 TL was offered for our vehicle. While they argued that even if the engine is replaced in a two-year-old car, it does not cause a loss in value, on the other hand, they offered a price that completely ignores and destroys the value of the vehicle. This approach never makes the customer feel supported. I am definitely not satisfied with the solution. Due to the serious technical problem in the vehicle, which is a manufacturing defect, either a fair trade-in should be offered at the real market value, or a replacement with a similar item should be provided so as not to victimize the customer.

In the response from Chery Turkey, we were finally able to hear the trade-in offer; they stated that they could buy our car for 1,400,000 TL, which is even lower than the lowest listing price, and that they would sell the new model at the same price they offer to regular customers. In other words, they are presenting an offer that is in no way acceptable for the customer. Chery Turkey is ignoring this serious technical issue as if they did not sell a defective product; instead of aiming to satisfy the customer, they prefer to victimize them. They present the engine replacement as if it were a 'favor.' My expectation for the outcome: The vehicle should either be replaced with an equivalent one, or a fair solution in line with current market conditions should be offered. Otherwise, our victimization is growing day by day.
