ChatGPT's Content Filter Misfires on Innocent Balcony Design Request
On 06/14/2026 at around 2:49 PM, while using the ChatGPT mobile app, I asked for a design and an image to be created just for my small balcony. Despite this, in response to my request, the app gave a warning saying something to the effect of, "Sorry, but this request appears to involve suggestions related to harassment, discrimination, bullying, or similar prohibited content."
While I was simply asking for my balcony to be designed and for a matching image to be created, I find getting this kind of response to such a completely normal, everyday request both upsetting and nonsensical. What's more, I ran into this exact same situation twice on the same day.
I use your app for free, but even so, I don't want to keep running into these kinds of incorrect and upsetting warning messages. I'm requesting an explanation for why an ordinary request like a balcony design triggered a message about "harassment, discrimination, bullying, and similar prohibited content," that these kinds of inappropriate warnings for similar innocent requests be corrected, and that the necessary improvement be made in this regard.
