I purchased a Casio G-Shock GMA-S2100-4ADR on October 13, 2024. Despite wearing it only five times over 20 days, the strap and bezel noticeably darkened and lost their original color. When I submitted the watch for inspection, I was told the issue was caused by "fabric staining" and deemed user error. Upon disputing this, I was given an unacceptable response suggesting the discoloration could have occurred even on the first wear.
If this watch is prone to such issues, this should have been disclosed at the time of sale. No such warning was provided. Both the brand and retailer failed to take responsibility for what is clearly a defective product. My request for a refund or exchange was denied despite the product being less than a month old.
I expect Casio to address this issue immediately, as customers should not be left with a faulty product after paying a premium price. This needs to be resolved promptly!
