Canon G3415 Printer Using So Much Ink

In November 2023, I bought myself a Canon G3415 printer. At first, I was able to easily connect it to my computer using Wi-Fi and print without any problems. But the next day, I ran into a problem where the computer couldn't establish a connection with the printer. I reached out to the authorized service center to report the issue. After five days of troubleshooting, they still couldn't figure it out. I received a video tutorial that showed me how to set up a static IP, and it ended up resolving the problem. In January, I started using the printer mostly for black prints, and the ink tanks, which can hold up to 12,000 black pages and 7,000 color pages, almost ran out of ink. After I refilled with the original cartridges, the ink levels dropped to the bottom in just one day. When I brought this up with the company, they recognized that it was a unique problem and assured me that they would reach out to their main office for guidance. Upon examination, they discovered that the absorbent sponge beneath the ink tanks had become completely black. They said the ink tanks or the print head might be defective, but insisted that it was not covered by the warranty. They gave back the printer after a few days, saying there were no problems and told me to come back if the issue continued. But with the ridiculously high price of cartridges, adding up to ₺2000, and the printer itself costing ₺5000, I just can't accept this situation. Canon's response mirrored the service center's position. Not sure what's gonna happen, but I'm thinking about changing to a different printer brand and I'll take this matter further. I might even ask for the factory test and quality control documents for the printer that has the serial number. Even though I've been a dedicated Canon user for 7-8 years, I'm now unsure about sticking with the brand. It's important for potential printer buyers to keep this in mind.
