Canon Printer Malfunction and Bad Customer Service Issue
About 7-8 months ago, we purchased a Canon printer which stopped working the week we bought it. When we visited the store, they advised us to contact the authorized service center. Upon calling the service center, they instructed us to perform ink spraying procedures on the printer, which did not resolve the issue. We tried contacting the service center multiple times without success. When we finally reached them, they asked us to empty and bring back the ink cartridges, which we couldn't do. We informed them that this was not feasible, but they insisted. Upon returning to the dealer, they told us we would need to wait 2-3 months if we wanted a quick resolution, otherwise, we should handle it ourselves. We are left with a useless product and no solution in sight after months of struggling. Why should I be sending a printer I used for only a week to a repair service? Initially, I requested a replacement when I first visited. Why was this not granted? They make promising sales pitches, but when the product turns out to be defective, why do they make it so difficult for customers? I will file a complaint with Consumer Rights. You have no right to put people through so much hassle.
