Budget Rent A Car Denies My Free Rental Right
On July 30, 2025, at around 09:30–09:50, I went to the Budget office at Rize-Artvin Airport to rent a car under reservation number 6955168. I wanted to use my free rental days earned through your loyalty program (1 free day for every 10 days rented). However, the office staff told me, “This is a franchise office; you can’t use your rights here. You can use them at central locations. If you want to use them, you’ll have to go to Trabzon, or we can help for a fee.” As a loyal customer who has worked with Budget for about nine years, I expressed my surprise and repeated my request, explaining that Budget is a corporate company whose benefits should apply to all offices. My request was again denied. Furthermore, the manner and behavior in the office—such as speaking while swinging prayer beads—seriously damaged the sense of professionalism and customer experience. To avoid disrupting my trip, I had to rent a car for a fee, causing financial loss since my free rental right was not honored. I reported this issue to your customer service multiple times, calling more than ten times, but despite the matter being escalated to headquarters, I have received no updates unless I initiated contact for 13 days. I expect Budget to urgently refund the total 5-day rental fee for this booking, deduct my free rental right accordingly to compensate my loss, and issue an apology and explanation from your Rize-Artvin Airport office.
