Worst Experience With Budget: Missed Flight And Financial Loss

On January 6th, 2024, the car I had rented from the Budget Istanbul Airport office experienced a breakdown on my way back to the airport, resulting in me missing my international flight. The entire day was consumed by arranging for the car to be towed to the service center and securing a replacement vehicle. To make matters worse, we had to cover the travel cost to get a new car from the branch and had to personally visit the branch to collect it (they even refused to reimburse the taxi fare). Despite our initial trust in Budget as an international brand, this turned out to be the most disappointing car rental experience I have ever encountered. Due to Budget's poorly maintained vehicle, I was forced to spend an additional $1100 to purchase a new plane ticket. Regrettably, there has been no response or resolution regarding this matter thus far. If necessary, I am prepared to pursue my rights through legal channels, not only within Turkey but also in the United States.
