Budget Charged Me Twice for Car Rental in Montenegro
On May 13, I rented a car through Budget’s website for 5 days, to be picked up at Tivat Airport in Montenegro. I paid in advance via their website, but when I arrived to collect the car, they demanded payment again. Despite showing proof of my original payment, I was told, “That payment doesn’t concern us.” I had no choice but to pay an additional €175 for insurance and leave a €200 deposit. After returning to Turkey, I contacted Budget customer service, but the representative ignored my complaint and eventually hung up on me. It has been over 30 business days, and I still haven’t received my deposit back. Emails go unanswered, and WhatsApp support only tells me to send emails. I’m extremely disappointed and will never rent from Budget again. This company feels far from professional, and they’ve handled this situation poorly.
