Last-Minute Booking.com Cancellation Ruined My Greek Vacation
Booking.com inexplicably canceled our reservation from Greece just 3 hours before! We booked Kavala Blue Lagoon 1 for May 4-5. While on the road, my phone was temporarily out of service abroad, so I couldn't communicate. Upon arrival at 14:00, we were dismayed by an email. To avoid such a plight in a foreign country, we made arrangements days in advance, yet our prepaid stay was arbitrarily canceled. To add insult to injury, they suggested covering the difference if we found another place! We searched for hours, but due to the holiday, found no solution. Our vacation turned sour due to this corporate site's unreasonable treatment. Being left stranded in an unknown country should warrant more than just a refund. I'll escalate the matter if necessary.
