On June 10, 2025, at 11:36 PM, a charge of 1,341.39 GEL (Georgian Lari) was made on my Yapı Kredi Bank credit card through “Hotel at Booking.com at Amsterdam” — completely without my knowledge or consent.
The next morning, on June 11, I immediately called customer service at 444 0 444. I informed them that the transaction was unauthorized, I had never booked any hotel, and I demanded both the cancellation of the pending transaction and the blockage of my card.
Let me be absolutely clear:
I have never been to Amsterdam.
I have never been to Georgia.
I don’t even own a passport.
This booking is not mine, and I gave no approval for such a charge.
This is a clear case of fraudulent use, and I expect Booking.com to immediately refund the unauthorized ₺ equivalent of the charge and correct this issue without delay. It is unacceptable that such a major travel platform processes payments without proper verification or protection for its users.
I demand a full refund and action from Booking.com to ensure that others do not face similar unauthorized charges. This experience has deeply shaken my trust in the platform’s payment security.
