Unauthorized Booking.com Charge in Amsterdam – 2,378.71 TL Without My Consent

On August 13, 2025, at 11:08:50, an unauthorized charge of 2,378.71 TL was made on my Yapı Kredi World credit card (last four digits: 3881) under the name “Hotel at Booking.com” in Amsterdam.
My card was physically with me at the time, and I did not make any hotel reservation, purchase, or transaction through Booking.com. I also did not receive any invoice, reservation confirmation, or approval email/message related to this transaction.
This charge is entirely without my knowledge or consent. As I am currently abroad, I could not immediately contact customer service, but I will be reporting the issue to my bank upon returning to Turkey.
I request the immediate refund of the 2,378.71 TL charged without authorization and a clear explanation of how such a transaction could occur without any booking or confirmation.
Booking.com must ensure better security and transparency in payment processes to prevent customers from becoming victims of unauthorized charges.
I expect my refund to be processed as soon as possible.
