I Lost ₺67,000 After Clicking Fake Booking.com Message About Baglio Di Scopello Hotel
I received a message from the Booking.com app claiming to be from the Baglio Di Scopello hotel and clicked it, only to have ₺67,000 charged to my credit card as a result. I’ve been using Booking.com for years and normally receive legitimate messages from hotels about reservations or check-ins, so I trusted this one. I can’t believe Booking.com allowed this spam message to reach me.
The hotel refuses to help or take responsibility and simply tells me to handle the issue through my bank. I am furious that neither Booking.com nor the hotel is supporting me despite this clear fraud. My fight to recover the money is still ongoing, but I demand Booking.com improve their security and help their customers immediately. This situation is unacceptable and must be resolved now.
Booking still hasn't made the payment and is not following up.
