I Canceled My Prepaid Booking.com Hotel in Venice But Haven’t Received My Refund

I booked a hotel in Venice through Booking.com, choosing a prepaid option with free cancellation, trusting the platform’s reputation. I canceled the reservation well before the allowed cancellation deadline, but it’s been over 2.5 months, and I still haven’t received my refund.

Worse yet, neither the hotel nor Booking.com has responded to any of my messages. I’ve reached out multiple times through the platform, and it feels like I’m being completely ignored. I followed all the rules, canceled on time, and now I’m left chasing a refund that should have been processed long ago.

I’m deeply disappointed. Booking.com, your brand name made me trust this process, and now I feel misled. I demand my refund to be issued immediately. Let this be a warning to others—don't assume you're protected just because it says “free cancellation.”
