Booking.com Showed Las Vegas Hotel in Paris Search Results

On December 13, 2025, I made a hotel reservation through Booking.com. In the search bar, I explicitly typed “Paris, France hotels” and searched for hotels close to the Eiffel Tower. The results displayed hotels with Eiffel Tower images and distance information such as “0.5 km away.” Trusting this information, I booked a hotel named Hilltown Grand Vacations Club Elara Center Strip Las Vegas and paid €733.

Later, when I checked the hotel’s actual location, I realized that the hotel was not in Paris, France, but in Las Vegas, USA. Even though I clearly searched for Paris/France, the site showed me a hotel located in Las Vegas, presented with Eiffel Tower visuals and distance details suggesting it was near Paris. I never entered Las Vegas or USA in my search. I was physically in Paris at the time of booking and was fully aware of which city I was searching for. Despite this, the system prominently displayed a Las Vegas hotel in the Paris search results.

I contacted both Booking.com and the hotel. Despite this clear system error and misleading presentation, no refund was issued, nor was I offered any option to change or postpone my reservation. Neither Booking.com nor the hotel accepted responsibility for this misdirection and instead placed the entire burden on me. As a result, my trust in both Booking.com and the property has been completely undermined. I request that the search results and images be corrected to accurately reflect reality, that the €733 I paid due to this misleading system error be refunded, and that my grievance be properly resolved.
